The week has come and gone (tick-tock)
Case files and numbers and mid-term exams
My brain is exhausted, wrung out like a sock
My train of thought needs mechanical repair;
It seems I’ve forgotten something important,
It fell through the cracks in my chair-
Fifty-five words, lassoed and wrangled
Until even my eyeteeth are tangled.
_______
Happy (almost) Friday! Got 55 words? Better use 'em and then go tell G-Man about it.

25 smart remarks:
Great rhyming 55. I so know the feeling. Not having it this week, but I think Mrs. MM is.

my 55
some weeks they are harder to generate than others. the picture cracks me up though!
I know, right? Usually I have a little stash of 55's scheduled to post, but this week I had exactly 4 minutes to extract one from what's left of my mental jewelry.
I sorta threw the picture out as a distraction from the splattered verse.
*grins*
I can relate Ti- o drained I crashed and missed two appointments this week
a 55 delight
Love the Moon
oh to make it easier
No need to wait for this 55

Sounds like you need to spend a little time out doors.
Sounds like you need a pot of coffee or a good, stiff drink!
Love the pic.
Oh, poor bowser!
And poor you. I hope you get unwrung, untangled and repaired soon.
Oh, honey. Is it the time of the month? We all seem to be having a bit of rough ground. But all is eased with laughter. Doo-Doo Head 55 here

My 55 is a double whammy this week, two for the price of one. Of course, as always, you need to scroll down below my Friday's Show n Tell.

Wow, you are a super busy girl! So glad you wrangled 55 for us! It's not a 55 Friday without you.
And hey, I'm not sure if you ever noticed the little sidebar button I out up for you werk before last? It's there.
Xo

I got a chuckle out of that picture - what jowls that dog has!
Glad you managed your 55 words.
you still got it out in 55 words no more no less with grace and elegance. great job!!
@EO: Time o' the month? *snort* That's kinda funny, actually. It usually hits me smack dab in the middle of a climbing expedition or backpacking trip. It's gotten to the point where I just laugh and shoot iron pills like they're rock candy.
Nah, this week's mayhem is a direct result of missing critical classes in order to attend Dad's memorial service. I returned home from the east coast after 3 solid days of flying, just in time to meet deadlines at work and realize I had mid-term exams I hadn't prepped for. Grim.
But, hey. It's Friday, right? It's all good.
amazing you were able to write any thing at all with what you had going on in your life, and by the way it is a really good 55er.
I hope your coming week is peaceful and serene and you aced your exams.
Blessing for your father.
Cheers,
Joanny

Ah, but you managed to express it all, and in rhyme, in time, in 5 1/2 dimes! (ugh)
